Kata in Beop Jin Do is highly specialized and unique among all martial arts currently existing. Unlike traditional systems where kata are predestined forms passed down through generations, Beop Jin Do's kata is deeply personal.
Kata in Beop Jin Do is intended to give the candidate their own place within the art itself. It is not predestined; it is designed by the practitioner themselves. They incorporate all moves learned into their own choreographed dance form. With each advancement, kata stands as the final exam pre-advancement.
This unique approach ensures that each practitioner develops a personal expression of the art, truly making it their own. The kata evolves as the practitioner grows, becoming a living embodiment of their journey through Beop Jin Do.
